Interim measures are a speed tool — they can freeze accounts, property or corporate actions. For capital, they are either shield or strike depending on who moves first and how well the motion is grounded.

The court assesses connection to the subject matter, risk of frustrating enforcement and proportionality. Blanket requests without proof of risk fail.

If measures are granted against your company, the task is structured response: replacement security, appeal, evidence of excess, negotiations under counsel control.

Beneficiaries should know the asset and corporate map in advance — measures hit where there is liquidity and control.

Typical errors: late application; excessive scope; no provision for counterparty loss; ignoring foreign accounts without a separate strategy.

After obtaining an order, rapid presentation to bailiffs or the registry matters — delay lets the opponent complete the very act the measure was meant to prevent.
